There are few things I support more than something like this.

The reason our country has the freedoms it does, and more ironically the ability to protest everything and anything... is our soldiers defending that freedom.

When you're in a bar, and you see a bunch of soldiers/marines/sailors/airmen on leave... BUY THEM A PITCHER OR 4, then thank them for all they've done.

Alaska wants to make it legal for an active-duty service member to drink legally, where can I sign up to support this?

From the article:

JUNEAU, Alaska – Alaska is the latest state to weigh in on a long-running argument: If you're old enough to fight and die for your country, you should be old enough to drink a beer.
An Alaska lawmaker who served in Vietnam is pushing a bill that would allow active-duty service members under 21 to drink alcohol as long as they could produce an armed forces identification card. Those under 19 — Alaska's smoking age — would be allowed to buy tobacco products.
"It's not fair that one guy in a fox hole can go home and have a beer while another guy in the fox hole can't," said Rep. Bob Lynn, R-Anchorage. "It's not about drinking, it's not about smoking, it's about equality. If you get shot at, you can have a shot."

First living Medal of Honor recipient since Vietnam

First of all, congratulations to Staff Sgt. Salvatore Giunta. You are a hero, badass and a model American.

Today the aforementioned hero received the first Medal of Honor to a living soldier since Vietnam.

I don't even want to summarize this story on how he came to receive this tremendous honor because I wouldn't give it justice. Click the link below...
