What would you do (ABC show)

This show is absolutely pathetic.

Here's what I just wrote to ABC news (Yes somehow its under the "news" umbrella):

I just saw a spot for "What would you do" on GMA. Elizabeth Vargas promoted this with an "incredibly provocative" comment. Are we entirely sure that she knows what provocative means? How is setting up a blind guy with an ugly woman claiming to be a size zero model provocative? This is what happens when people outgrow Teen mom. This show artificially puts people in situations where they'd be made uncomfortable, under the what ABC is calling a "ethical dilemma".  Please buy a dictionary and learn the actual definition of words before using them. This show is a result of lazy/pathetic writing, forgoing content for shock value.

1 more thing, the directory the host's picture is under on the page is called "ABC Talent"... ---->

50 facts about the guy who played Carl

the most mystical man ever portrayed on film...

Royal wedding invite?

I am the second luckiest girl in the world! ! ! I have been invited to the ROYAL WEDDING! ! ! My invite came in the mail yesterday and I have been floating on a cloud ever since. What should I wear?
I need a hat! Do you think there are any available rooms at the Goring Hotel?!

I am going to bond with Pippa while I eat all the food she passes over, talk Top Gear with Harry (You KNOW he watches it), and ride in a carriage with the little bridesmaids. I am so in with the Royal family. I'm going to get invited to the Jubilee celebrations for the Queen, be the God Mother to The Duke's and Duchess' first born, and be Princess Kate's confidante.

Wait. What is that you say? I'm a week late? But who would pull such a prank on me to make me believe I would be invited to the royal wedding? My Husband? My Sister? My British Friend? ALL THREE??? You mean a transatlantic prank? No way, too complicated. I don't believe it.
And I already bought a hat. I guess I'll have to live vicariously through Google like the rest of the world.
A special thanks to D, K, and A. I don't think I laughed so hard in a long time. I really appreciate how much time and thought went into making me feel British for a day.

This guy REALLY hates cats...

...but I can see why.

Sorry for 2 Jalopnik reposts in a row this is funny as hell.

Short version: Aussie guy hates when 9 neighborhood cats piss all over his house and car, creates over-elaborate rube goldberg-esque motion-sensing water-shooting mechanism with recording capability.

SAVE THE PORSCHES!

Ingenious Porsche owner in Louisville, KY gets creative to save his work of art.

From the Jalopnik post:

The owner of what appears to be a rare 964 Porsche 911 saved his car from the floodwaters encroaching his or her property near Louisville, Kentucky with the help of what looks like an inflatable cushion tethered to the house.

Prost!

This is a great line

"I’ve made clear, just as President Bush did shortly after 9/11, that our war is not against Islam. Bin Laden was not a Muslim leader; he was a mass murderer of Muslims. Indeed, al Qaeda has slaughtered scores of Muslims in many countries, including our own. So his demise should be welcomed by all who believe in peace and human dignity." -President Obama

I'm not superstitious but May 1st for mass-murdering charismatic psychos isn't looking good...

Kinda hurts when you have no credibility huh?

In changing the attitude of the posts lately from serious to ridiculous (which I much prefer) please see below.

While I'm not in agreement with the use of the words in the title (see source link to know what I'm talking about). This email response is really funny.

Bin Laden Killed 40 miles from the capital of Pakistan

This is not the time for jokes. This is not the time to gloat. But that's not the same thing as celebrating the end of an evil regime.

Osama Bin Laden, the single most wanted man in the world has been confirmed to have been killed.
Hiding for about a decade he was killed in Pakistan last week. Its been kept under wraps in order to pass DNA testing to confirm the body's identity. A piece of Bin Laden's sister's brain (who died in the United States recently) was used to confirm his identity).

A few facts:
- United States Military/Intelligence action (Meet the team - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joint_Special_Operations_Command
- Bin Laden was not killed by a drone bombing
- The former head of Al Queda, was given the option to surrender but declined and took 2 bullets to the head before the body was recovered by U.S. forces (later burial at sea )

How he was found

Personal Note:
I personally knew dozens of people killed in the World Trade Center disaster. I will never forget how I felt while I watched the towers fall live on TV (after my mom called me to turn on the news). A few years later I lived for almost a year about a block from Ground Zero. I've never felt safer in my entire life. That part of Manhattan was treated as a shrine and protected site by a very diligent police force.
When you see a soldier, sailor, airmen, marine, police officer or fireman around. Thank them for their service, the reason you can live the way you do is because of their job, sacrifice and risk.

While typing this I can hear people outside my window cheering.

-----------
Few simple things will make you feel better than buying a serviceman/woman on leave a beer when you see them at a bar.

Brooklyn delivery guy calls out bad tippers on his blog

First, always tip well (unless there is a serious service problem, you don't know what effort went into getting you that pizza).

Second, write down the "first" lesson.
--------------

A Brooklyn delivery guy has started a blog about said cheapskates. -> http://15percent.tumblr.com/

As the consumerist article says:
Check it out soon, because it probably won't stay up for long in its current form.

From the Blog's about page:

15 Percent is a blog documenting people, and companies who have never seemed to work in the service industry, or don't think to tip at least 15% on deliveries, and instead opt for 2 dollars on everything.
This is for all the people who have been handed $80 on a $78 order and told "keep the change". Thanks ass-hole. The posts are a vaguely poetic and concise commentary on the modern service culture. For example:

[redacted], apt [redacted] tipped me a whopping $0.50 to ride though a thunderstorm for him. Sometimes this gig makes me so misanthropic.
