While I did enjoy the Tobey Maguire Spider-man movies, preferred in order they were released*, and did initially think that a reboot this soon after they were done is weird... now my thinking is more Spider-man is preferable to less. (unless they make a movie like Spider-man 3**, no thanks)

*especially that first one, something about it really gave it some great qualities
**I want my money back, even though they introduced Venom.

Wrote, directed and is starring in what looks like a really funny movie.
Check out the trailer below
The fact that the Marble Columns girl is in it is an added bonus... oh and Tony Danza.

RUSH
The new Ron Howard movie about the 1976 Formula 1 (and English racing driver/Playboy James Hunt) season looks awesome. If the sound of Formula 1 engines doesn't get the hair on your arm to stand on end, you are either soulless or hairless.

ITS A UNIX SYSTEM! IN 3D!
I'm very excited about the re-release of a movie (now in 3D) that I've seen probably over 100 times... Actually I am. For the 20th anniversary* of Jurassic Park it is being released in all 3 3D formats in theaters on April 5. The question is do I want to see it in RealD 3D, IMAX 3D or Dolby 3D? feedback welcomed.

SUPER TROOPERS 2 ANNOUNCED
(sorta)
I really hope they figure out a way to work in Syrup races.
From Guyspeed.com:
This week, I had the pleasure of speaking with Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme of the comedy group Broken Lizard. Kevin and Steve sat down to discuss their careers, facial hair, which member of the group would be the most edible and their new stand-up special ‘Fat Man Little Boy’ which hits Netflix this Friday, March 1st. The entire interview will run this Friday, but one piece of news was just too good to sit on. While discussing their early days making movies, ‘Super Troopers’ was brought into the discussion. So I had to ask “will there be a ‘Super Troopers’ sequel?”
Here is what Kevin told me. “There will be a Super Troopers sequel. We put it off for a while and then came back to it. We wrote the script and handed it in to Fox and now we’re just negotiating the time and the place and hopefully shoot it some time this year. I have to start growing my mustache now.”
Team Ramrod rides again!

I'm not normally a NASCAR guy
but for this I'll make an exception.
Short version:
Kurt Busch (like Ricky Bobby in the movie Talledega nights) didn't have any sponsorship for his car, so he got all the necessary permissions, and ran a replica of Ricky Bobby's car towards the end of the movie, when he was in a similar situation.
From the article:
Busch and his crew plan to drop lines from the movie over the team radio all weekend, which will include referring to crew chief Nick Harrison as "Lucius Washington." Driscoll joked about Busch's often-vitriolic radio communications by saying it was the one time where he would actually WANT fans to listen.

Trailer for Ted
From Seth MacFarlane of Family guy fame, here's the trailer of his new movie which looks funny as hell. Having Mila Kunis in it doesn't hurt either...
Video and link definitely NSFW (at the very least wear headphones)
Clickable link -> http://youtu.be/VxKfC77XAp8
Description from Wikipedia (so you know that its 100% accurate): Mark Wahlberg plays John, a perfectly normal Boston native whose childhood wish for his teddy bear to come to life comes true. The bear Ted (voiced by MacFarlane himself) remains his best friend well into his adult years. Conflict emerges when Ted's irresponsible and vulgar slacker lifestyle comes in the way of John's attempt to embrace his adulthood and the woman of his dreams, Lori (Mila Kunis).

Ze German
The German from Nick Ryan on Vimeo.
From the video description:
A British fighter pilot pursues the German ace that shot down his friend across sky and country... with murder in mind. But he discovers it's not so easy to kill a man when you have to look them in the eye
This was funded by an Irish Film Board scheme called 'Short Cuts' and was shot in November 2007. The Budget was €70K, and was used entirely on the live action components of the film - leaving a grand total of ZERO for visual effects!

The Dictator
Sacha Baron Cohen, known for Borat, Ali G and BrĂ¼no (and other things but those are the big 3) has a new movie coming out that may or may not be inspired by real people recently deposed...
Here's the first trailer:
Love him or hate him (I'd be surprised if there was ANYBODY who was luke warm about him) I think this looks really funny...
