In 1929 an issue of Modern Mechanics (assuming it was/is a magazine) had instructions on how to build a dug out pirate's cave fort. I do think its funny that they're giving kids cooking ability, you know that today's litigators might have an issues with that.
Lastly, why should this be limited to some snotnose kid? Mine will have internet too (take that 8 year olds from 1929!).
