Happy Feet, the Penguin who lost his way and traveled thousands of miles off course to wind up on a NZ beach is being released. (story starts here) He came ashore having presumably never seen sand, and starting eating it thinking it was snow. After being rescued and looked after by Kiwi veterinary professionals, specifically Dr. Colin Miskelly, Curator of terrestrial vertebrates at Te Papa, he's ready to go home.
