For sale in NJ is a 1981 Volkswagen Rabbit diesel with only 23,000 miles on it. Its being sold by a friend of my cousin's. I've seen it in person, ridden in it and can attest it is in like new condition. Cliche aside, he bought it from a little old lady, yada yada, but for real. He regularly gets above 30mpg and this engine is known to be biodiesel friendly with little to no conversion of parts required (depending on what percentage and how often you run the natural stuff). He's asking $5000 or best offer for it, and as his craigslist ad says will even throw in the roof racks if the new owner wants.
