you should be eating more stew

 Stew beef (really can be any meat at all)
Chopped up turnip
Chopped up parsnip
Chopped up celery
Chopped up onion(s)
Chopped up carrots

Dry:
Paprika, black pepper, sage, thyme, garlic powder, bay leaves

Wet:
Splash of red wine, splash of Guinness (more than a splash), splash of soy sauce, olive oil (a tablespoon at most, really more to coat the inside of the foil, the meat should have plenty of fat/grease in it), a pat of butter and/or Bacon grease

Put whatever quantity of all of those things you want into a baking dish (lined with foil), seal tight and put into the oven at 250 for at least 4 hours. Crank up to 450 for 45-60 more minutes. 

Eat like a champion.
