How beer saved the world

Discovery Channel documentary about how beer drove everything from the move to an agrarian society (from being hunter/gatherers) to modern records keeping, disease prevention/antibiotics and automation in industry.

Its no secret that I love beer. I'm a big fan of the craft beer movement, trying to rid the cheap/low-class sigma associated with the stuff. While I'll always have a special place (reserved for Beirut, NOT BEER PONG) for Natty Lite, its not even close to my go-to beer. That's reserved (currently) for Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.  Although I love a good Bavarian Helles too, now if we could only get Augustiner-Bräu Vom Faß on this side of the Atlantic. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to go to the source.

Prost!
