Not to date myself or anything, but I actually remember the Robocop movies, saw Luke get his bionic hand on VHS (not quite old enough for the ORIGINAL theater version) but don't remember the 6 million dollar man. 15 year old Chloe Holmes in Britain has gotten a bionic hand that might rival Commander Skywalker's. Her condition was caused by a bad infection from the chicken pox as a toddler that cost her most of her fingers. She's been without that hand ever since.
The new limb cost approximately £38,000 (~$62,700 dollars) and is state of the art.
