Riots in London - Is this why they happened?

The Daily Mail isn't known for hard-hitting journalism... in this particular case that's not true.

These actions can be summed up as violent apathy.

I try to steer away from politics on this site, and honestly I think this (despite the title) isn't really politics. This deals much more with cultural issues, social norms and the utter lack of morals. This has nothing to do with economics. There are plenty of people from those neighborhoods that weren't behaving like a "polar bear which attacked a Norwegian tourist camp last week. They were doing what came naturally and, unlike the bear, no one even shot them for it".

Enough opinion by me, read the source link and feel free to post here what you think, I'm fine with disagreeing with me, but have an actual argument.

We are told that youths roaming the streets are doing so because they are angry at unemployment, but a quick look at an apprenticeship website yields 2,228 vacancies in London
