Pope says God sparked the big bang

This is pretty significant as much as it seems trivial. Pop Benedict has recently declared that he believes that while the big bang did happen, God sparked it. While there are still a few (enormous) holes - age of Earth, fossilized dinos, pop rocks - being able to link the Catholic story of how the world came to be with the Science one, this is pretty big that the church is publicly acknowledging this type of science.
