Earthquake in Japan -> Tsunamis in the Pacific

A huge offshore earthquake has hit Japan , currently rated at 8.9 on the richter scale (that may change however). Thus far over 60 people have been killed, that number will rise over the next few hours though. The biggest short-term concerns right now are Tsunamis in the Pacific and a nuclear power plant 130 miles NE of Tokyo that appears to be having technical problems with the cooling of its main reactor.

Japanese police say that hundreds of bodies are floating off the NE coast of Japan, killed by waves overcoming dozens of boats in Japanese waters.  As of me posting this, the first Tsunamis are currently hitting the Hawaiian coast.
