Yes, I'm actually defending Rebecca Black here (a little)

So 13 year old autotuned C student* Rebecca Black was attacked (?) by Destiny Hope (Miley, classy) Cyrus about how its too easy to become an "artist" nowadays. Interesting, I didn't know "Party in the USA" was art. I guess I'm the one who is wrong. Rebecca Black is terrible, but Miley how is this different than your garbage?

From the (potentially NSFW) link:

“It should be harder to be an artist. You shouldn’t just be able to put a song on YouTube and go out on tour,”
said a future Mountain Dew addict.

Miley Cyrus needs to look in a mirror. Its possible there is a double meaning there ;)

*I have no proof of Rebecca Black's grades

  1. I totally agree with you. Whatever people feel about the music this should not be an excuse for a hate campaign against a little girl. Join the Facebook campaign 'Defend Rebecca Black'. No one deserves to be bullied!

  2. Thanks for reading, but that wasn't really my point. Disliking a person and/or their actions isn't really bullying, especially if that person actively put themself into the public space (by releasing an absolutely awful song that stands for everything I hate about the music industry). I don't want to defend Rebecca Black, I really wanted to mock Miley. Rebecca doesn't know any better as a 13 year old who just wanted to be famous, which doesnt make her "music" any less terrible.
I was merely pointing out that Miley Cyrus basically did the same exact thing years earlier so she doesn't have a leg to stand on when insulting Rebecca Black.

I'm speculating that you found this post/blog by searching for "defend Rebecca Black", didn't actually read the post then submitted your comment. I guess any exposure is good?
