Bio fuel from Bananas?!

First off, I know how healthy they are, but I cannot stand bananas....

Making them into biofuels, (specifically biomethane) however, I'm fine with. Australian company Growcom is working on a way of producing synthetic methane from Banana waste (specifically peels, but anything wasted in the banana industry and most plant matter can be used too, banana's high sugar content makes it a prime candidate however). Very cool.

Here's to saving corn for food NOT FUEL.
