Onstar to become available as a universally installed product

This is pretty awesome. This spring Onstar, GM's satnav/vehicle location/emergency services/etc service (and hardware) is going to be made available for many cars. The LoJack-esque vehicle locator alone (assuming its not ripped out before it can be activated) is worth the cost. Let alone the built-in bluetooth and emergency services. Admittedly the navigation portion is pretty useless being voice only IMO.

The list of currently approved cars includes:

Ford/Lincoln F-Series/Mark LT
Toyota Camry
Honda Accord
Dodge/Chrysler/VW Caravan/T&C/Voyager/Routan
Dodge Ram Pickup
Honda Civic
Ford/Mercury/Lincoln Explorer/Mountaineer/Aviator
Ford/Mercury Taurus/500/Sable/Montego
Toyota Corolla
Nissan Altima
Ford Focus
Ford/Mercury/Mazda Escape/Mariner/Tribute
Chrysler//Dodge Sebring/Stratus/Avenger
Ford/Mazda Ranger/Mazda Pickup
Jeep Grand Cherokee
Honda CR-V
Toyota Tacoma
Ford/Lincoln Expedition/Navigator
Honda Odyssey
Ford/Mercury Crown Vic/Grand Marquis

Strangely, the Land Rover Defender 90 is missing.... I'll have to rig something up I guess :)
